Doha, Qatar: The 26th session of the Conference of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, which is part of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will commence next Sunday under the esteemed patronage of HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has announced that this session, running until May 8, is part of the Academy's ongoing efforts to foster collective ijtihad and to explore contemporary issues in Islamic jurisprudence that affect Muslim communities. A distinguished assembly of scholars, jurists, and experts from around the globe will participate in the discussions.
The conference will cover a variety of contemporary topics related to fiqh, economics, and medicine, and will also produce legal rulings and recommendations aimed at providing Sharia-compliant solutions to current challenges.
The International Islamic Fiqh Academy is recognized as a reputable scholarly institution for collective reasoning in fiqh, with its members convening annually to address emerging issues and offer Sharia-compliant solutions to the challenges of modern life through a collaborative academic framework.
