The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has reiterated its backing for the initiatives led by the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States aimed at achieving an immediate ceasefire and facilitating the delivery of adequate humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip. Jordan highlighted the significance of executing the prisoner exchange agreement, which was established through the collaborative efforts of the three nations, in all its stages.

During the 163rd session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held on Wednesday at the League's headquarters in Cairo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, remarked:

He further stated that Jordan will persist in collaborating with its Arab counterparts and the international community to secure an immediate ceasefire and enable the entry of sufficient humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Safadi also pointed out the ongoing endeavors by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to curb illegal Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank, which he cautioned could lead to a volatile situation and jeopardize the two-state solution. He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to protecting the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, maintaining their identity and the historical and legal status quo, under the framework of the historic Hashemite custodianship.

The Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that lasting peace cannot be realized unless the Palestinian people are granted all their legitimate rights, asserting:

Safadi concluded by stating that a just peace remains the only true assurance for the security of the region and its peoples.
