ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Air Force has initiated Exercise Zarb-e-Haideri, a three-day intensive air combat drill organized by the Southern Air Command. This exercise aims to enhance multi-domain operational capabilities utilizing advanced command and control technologies.

Various fighter jets, including the JF-17 Thunder and F-16, are taking part in the drill.

The primary objective of this exercise is to ensure the Pakistan Air Force is well-prepared and capable of delivering a strong response to any violations of Pakistani airspace by India. In light of the changing regional security dynamics, the Pakistan Air Force has designated Saidu Sharif Airport in Swat as an operational airbase. Additionally, the Skardu airport has been activated, serving as a crucial logistical hub for Pakistani forces stationed in the forward areas of Siachin.

The deployment of fighter aircraft at Skardu is intended to counter any potential threats from the Indian Air Force in the Gilgit Baltistan region.

The Pakistan Air Force has mobilized all its airbases across the country and has put its entire fleet of fighter jets on alert.

Significant quantities of air munitions, including bombs, bullets, and rockets, have been prepared for a decisive response to any airspace violations by India.
