Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the intentions of platforms linked to Israeli occupation groups to bomb and demolish the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque, proposing the construction of a so-called Temple in its stead. This act is viewed as a serious provocation that could exacerbate tensions in the region, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement released today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm rejection of any infringement upon the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, and its sacred sites. The Ministry emphasized the urgent need for the international community to intervene, to deter the occupation, and to compel Israel to ensure the protection of these holy places while adhering to international law and its resolutions.

Furthermore, the Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and the resilience of the Palestinian people, grounded in international legitimacy and the two-state solution, which aims to establish an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
