Injuries of victims remain undisclosed following an incident in Headingley that was preceded by a social media threat.
Leeds police have reported that three individuals sustained injuries, while a man armed with weapons has been apprehended.
Authorities responded to a call on Otley Road in Headingley at 2:47 PM on Saturday, where they discovered three individuals with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The specifics of their injuries have not been revealed.
West Yorkshire police stated that a male suspect is in custody, and they are in the early stages of investigating the broader context of the incident, promising further updates.
Several police cordons are still active, with public safety being a top priority.
This incident follows a social media threat directed at the Otley area.
Bethany Connelly, an employee in the vicinity, recounted to Yorkshire Live: “I was working at a nearby restaurant when some girls outside asked if they could come in to finish their food because they had spotted someone with a crossbow. This occurred just before the incident, and shortly after, we noticed ambulances and police vehicles racing down the streets.
“The roads were being blocked off, and police instructed us to keep everyone indoors and away from the area.
