The Hague: The State of Qatar presented its oral arguments at the International Court of Justice concerning the advisory opinion on the "Obligations of Israel Regarding the Presence and Activities of the United Nations, Other International Organizations, and Third States in Relation to the Occupied Palestinian Territory."

During the presentation, HE Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, the representative of Qatar, emphasized that Qatari mediation had temporarily facilitated a humanitarian corridor to the Gaza Strip until Israel obstructed aid and severed food and water supplies starting from the second day of this past Ramadan.

He asserted that Israel has not concluded its occupation of Palestine, but rather has intensified its campaign of genocide against the Palestinian population, noting that the rising violence in the West Bank mirrors the situation in Gaza.

His Excellency also pointed out that Israel systematically employs starvation as a tactic in its warfare, which contravenes international laws and norms and constitutes a war crime, particularly against children as outlined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. He further criticized the use of humanitarian aid as a weapon against civilians.

In closing, he called attention to Israel's documented history of deliberate military assaults on UNRWA properties and personnel, urging for full reparations for the damages incurred and assurances that such actions will not occur again in the future.
