On Thursday, officials reported that at least three members of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) were killed and two others injured during a confrontation with militants in the Spina Tangi region of Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A spokesperson for the CTD indicated that the clash occurred during an intelligence-led operation when the team came under intense gunfire from terrorists concealed in the vicinity.
